Smoky Mountain Christian Village,
Pigeon Forge, TN
Ok… I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again: You girls haul too much stuff to your day and weekend crops. Packing for a crop doesn’t have to be so overwhelming that you are already worn out by the time you get there. During this weekend we are going to be making a list of 30 things that we need to have at a crop and “you all” are going to help make the list. It will be interesting what we come up with by popular demand and if we use what we learn, it will be a whole lot easier to put things away when we get back home and not near as tiring to unload our cars.
It will be the same fun crop that you always enjoy with Smoky Mountain Scrapbooking except we’re having it in a “quiet mountain spot” in Pigeon Forge that is easy to get to, not much traffic, and even closer to the Super Scrapbook Store… can you believe it?
Our new venue, Smoky Mountain Village offers accommodations that are very nice and comfortable and I am positive that you will love coming here to scrapbook; plus it is going to be great for any size group and at a lower cost to you. This facility offers the charm, comfort and flexibility of chalets surrounded by a quiet mountain valley covered with big old trees. Each chalet has 1-3 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room and a half bath. Each bedroom can sleep 1-4 people and has its own private bath.
Other amenities are a year-round heated swimming pool and walking trails if you are in for a little exercise.
Also, if you want to bring your family with you they have plenty of things to keep them busy while you scrapbook such as disk golf, a children's playground, table tennis and foosball… and they are located just off Veterans Highway, almost across the road from the Dollywood entrance.
There are several different package options available for you to choose from. Read the package details carefully to be sure you are choosing the one you want. We have several units that are handicapped accessible and if you have a problem with stairs, you will need to call the number listed below so that we can place you in one of those units. There are no stairs getting into the meeting room, but you will need to walk or drive a short distance from your chalet.
If you want to come and bring your family, please call Bonnie at 865-429-3721 or email me at bonpavo@aol.com for special pricing.
Prices are based on bedroom occupancy and include your cropping space. For those of you who already have a place to stay, but want to come and crop for the weekend, then you should choose Package C.
If you love to scrapbook, beginner or advanced, we promise that this weekend will be packed full of fun, lots of door prizes, making new friends, discovering new ways to tell your stories, learning new techniques during your classes and winning extra prizes by entering our page contests. Get away for the weekend with your favorite scrapbookers and get those pages done.
To Register: Just pick the package that specifies how many will be in your bedroom and indicate your roommate(s) on your registration form. Then on the back of your registration form list everyone who will be staying in your chalet, That way we will make sure everyone is together in the same place and that you have room in your chalet for all of you. If you have any questions, please just call me or send me an email.
All packages require a non-refundable deposit of $75.00 at the time of registration. This deposit secures your spot at the retreat and is applied to your balance. Registration will stay open until all spots are full or until October 18 which is when we have to turn our final numbers into the resort staff. Your final balance for this crop weekend is also due by October 18, 2012, so mark your calendars to be sure you get it turned in on time.
